On July 5, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and Yunnan Police Officer Academy (YPOA) and the unveiling ceremony of the graduate internship base were held at the Haidian Campus of CUPL. CUPL Council Chair Hu Ming, Vice Council Chair Gang Wenzhe, Vice President Shi Jianzhong, as well as Xu Li, member of the Party Committee of the Education Department of Yunnan Province, and YPOA Council Chair Li Gang, attended the signing and unveiling ceremony.
CUPL Council Chair Hu pointed out that the signing of the cooperation agreement would tap into the complementary advantages and bring a win-win outcome for the two parties. The agreement would also help deepen collaboration between the university and local government and would facilitate joint development. YPOA Council Chair Li expected to take this strategic cooperation as an opportunity to establish a comprehensive cooperation relationship between YPOA and CUPL and to launch in-depth cooperation to further advance the rule of law in public security affairs, such as drug control, counter-terrorism governance, border control, digital public security, and smart policing. Xu Li said that the Yunnan province located on China's southwest border, boasting a aunique geographic location and rich resources. In this regard, the signing of the cooperation agreement would bring new development opportunities to both sides.
