On May 20, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and China Health Charity Foundation (CHCF) jointly organized the symposium on "talent cultivation through labor". Together, CUPL and CHCF unveiled the practice base jointly established by the two sides and appointed tutors for the base at the Haidian Campus of CUPL. CUPL Vice President Li Xiuyun, Honorary Vice President Li Suli of CHCF, heads of relevant administrative offices of CUPL and CHCF, as well as representatives of graduate students attended the relevant events.

Vice President Li Xiuyun said in her speech that the joint practice base of CUPL and CHCF was a novel approach to implement the spirit of “talent cultivation through labor” in the new era. The practice base was of great importance to resource sharing between the two sides. It would facilitate talent training and the volunteer services of CUPL. She called on CUPL students to seize the opportunity, take the initiative to learn from the role models, actively participate in various activities and devote themselves to building the campus and serving the society.

Lu Bing, Secretary General of CHCF, briefed the participants on CHCF and its cooperation with CUPL. Since its establishment, CHCF has been committed to the development of non-profit undertakings such as poverty alleviation, medical assistance, schooling assistance and disaster relief. In 2019, CHCF launched the project of “Pigeon love" in Dongxiang County, which was once a poverty-stricken county in landlocked Gansu Province. The project funded the construction of teaching building and auxiliary facilities of the Hewang Village Primary School in Longquan Town, Dongxiang County. Prior to launching the practice base, CHCF has already joined hands with CUPL to organize many activities. For instance, the "Learn from Lei Feng Day" reading club jointly organized by CHCF and the Graduate Affairs Office of CUPL, was received by students with warm and positive response. Witnessing the success of the above activities, Lu Bing hoped that the cooperation between CHCF and CUPL would go deeper and further. Li Suli, who used to be a bus conductor, briefly introduced her own experience. In response to the public's support for the bus service, she and her colleagues set up the "Li Suli Hotline" and worked in customer service management for another 18 years, she said.

In the end of the symposium, Li Xiuyun awarded Li Suli the letter of appointment as a tutor for the practice base. Director of the Student Affairs Office, Huang Ruiyu, and Lu Bing, on behalf of CUPL and CHCF respectively, signed the Letter of Intent of jointly building the practice base. Li Suli and Li Xiuyun unveiled the "Shuren School of Public Welfare Practice for Graduate Students of CUPL".
