On May 8, CUPL Vice President Chang Baoguo and his delegation had a discussion with Wang Xuguang, Procurator-General of the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Procuratorate, on deepening cooperation between the two sides. Dang Guangsuo, Deputy Chair of the Party Council and Deputy Procurator-General, as well as heads of the general office, the education and training department, the training center, the legal policy research office, the procuratorial logistics department also participated in the discussion.
Vice President Chang Baoguo expressed his hope to promote the integration of legal education and judicial practices with the Procuratorate on the basis of the existing cooperation. He put forward suggestions on specific cooperation forms, such as doctoral candidates taking temporary service at the judicial agency, students’ internship and training, judicial case compilation, joint research project, and joint cultivation of legal talents for Belt and Road initiative, etc. He also hoped that, through in-depth exchanges, both sides would reach a comprehensive agreement on further cooperation and practical cultivation of legal talents. Procurator-General Wang Xuguang hoped that both sides would uphold win-win cooperation, fully integrate legal theory and judicial practice on the basis of existing resources, and push forward higher, deeper, and broader cooperation.
