On the evening of October 23, the opening of the 12th Beijing College Students Moot Court Competition was held in the auditorium of CUPL Changping Campus. This provincial and ministerial-level disciplinary competition was sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and organized by the Academic Affairs Office and the Communist Youth League Committee of CUPL.
In the exhibition round of the moot court competition, Zhao Peng, Director of the First Prosecution Department of the First Branch of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate, and Wang Xuepeng, the prosecutor from the Changping District People's Procuratorate of Beijing Municipality, acted as the prosecutor; Jiang Zhiqiang, attorney and partner of Beijing Dongwei Law Firm, and Chang Zheng, attorney and partner of Beijing Hengning Law Firm, as the defense lawyers. The guests of the collegial panel were Xue Chunjiang, President of the Changping District People's Court of Beijing Municipality, Lin Xinjian, associate chief of the Second Criminal Division of Beijing Municipal First Intermediate People's Court, and Ou Chun'guang, chief of the First Criminal Division of the Changping District People's Court of Beijing Municipality. The topic of the exhibition round was adapted from a real case, i.e. a criminal case about a neighborhood dispute.
