On November 24, the unveiling ceremony of CUPL-Beizhuang Village practical teaching base was held in Beizhuang Village. Prof. Li Xiuyun, Vice President of CUPL, attended the ceremony. Liu Linlin, Vice-Director of the Communication Office and Director of the Office of Teacher Affairs, Zhang Honghai, Council Chair of Beizhuang Village, Chen Xueyuan, Director of Economy System Office of Beijing Municipal Research Centre for Rural Economy, staff of relevant administrative offices, such as Office of Teacher Affairs, Office of Student Affairs and the Youth League Committee of CUPL, as well as more than 30 faculty members attended the ceremony. The event was moderated by Zhou Qing, Chair of Beizhuang Village.
Li Xiuyun and Zhang Honghai unveiled the practical education base together. After the ceremony, Chen Xueyuan gave a speech on the structure and evolution of rural economic system. Then, the attendees held a discussion on key aspects of the speech. They also visited the Sci-Tech Courtyard, enjoyed the rural landscape of Beizhuang Village, and experienced field management, planting and crop harvest in the greenhouses together.
