Prof. Song Qingbao, Chinese Co-Director of the CI at Barbados Attends the Seminar of the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC)
From November 13 to 15 (local time), 12 representatives from Jamaica, St. Maarten, Surinam, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago attended a seminar themed around the modern language framework in the Caribbean Community at the CXC Headquarters in Barbados.

Prof. Song Qingbao, the Chinese Co-Director of the CI at Barbados, was invited to attended the seminar and delivered a report as an expert member of Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence, Mandarin Group. It was the first time for Mandarin to be incorporated into the future plan of CXC, together with French, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch. It demonstrates that Chinese teaching and learning has received more and more attention in the Caribbean Community.
Established in 1972, CXC is a regional educational institution of the Caribbean Community. Some of its services include, examination service (including syllabi, examination papers, and the organization of exams) and issuing certifications for its 19 member countries and regions.
