CUPL’s prior international communication mainly focused on the EU, American nations and East and North Asia countries, such as Japan and South Korea. There is little cooperation with universities and colleges in Singapore. With this background, the visit, on the one hand, provided an opportunity to establish cooperation with the world top universities such as Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University through the Belt and Road Initiative. The visit also sought to improve the width and depth of the cooperation with National University of Singapore. On the other hand, the visit was an opportunity to learn and study from these universities to advance disciplined development. The development would further broaden CUPL’s view in the next step toward building a “double first-rate” construction.

In the talk, presidents from the three universities spoke highly of the contributions that CUPL has made, and expressed their sincere wishes to establish wide and in-depth cooperation with our university. CUPL will sign an inter-college cooperation agreement with National University of Singapore to deepen legal cooperation and promote cooperation in a range of academic disciplines including: political science, public administration, sociology, economics and business administration and so on. CUPL also reached agreement with Nanyang Technological University to launch cooperation in a double degree program and faculty training in the humanities and social sciences. In addition, our university reached a major consensus with Singapore Management University on promoting comprehensive cooperation in student and teacher exchanges and disciplinary research.
