On September 24, 2015, Professor Zhang Baosheng, Co-Chair of Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization (CICJC), along with the delegation led by him, visited the Russian University of Justice (Российский государственный университетправосудия) and attended the plaque unveiling ceremony of the “Sino-Russian Center for Comparative Judiciary Studies”.
This Center is the eighth one founded by CICJC in foreign countries following its brethren in South Korea, the United States, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia, Italy and the United Kingdom. Its establishment was a great boost for deepening the exchanges between Chinese and Russian jurisprudence.
After the ceremony, the two sides held talks on how to carry out cooperation and exchange in the coming days, and signed a collaboration agreement. The two parties also reached agreements on certain matters like conducting joint talent training, arranging scholar exchanges, jointly holding academic conferences and so on.
On September25, Prof. Zhang Baosheng delivered a speech “Reforming the Criminal Evidence System in China” for the teachers and students in the law departments of the Russian University of Justice.
On September 27, Prof. Zhang Baosheng and his party visited the Northwestern Affiliate of the Russian University of Justice, and held a talk with its Director. During the talk, the two sides not only signed cooperation agreements, but also reached a consensus on matters such as student exchanges, the arrangement for the scholars from one side to deliver lectures on the partner’s campus, and so on.
