The 4th Beijing University Student Performing Art Show, sponsored by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, recently came to a close. All 8 shows selected and sent by CUPL’s art troupe achieved excellent results in six groups of contests, such as vocal music, recitation, dance and instrumental music. The vocal music semichorus entitled “the Game of Gongchi Score” and the recitation on "the Rule of Law in China, Our Common Dream" each separately won first prize. Having two independent first prize awards constituted an historic breakthrough for CUPL.
According to reports, the Beijing University Student Performing Art Show, which is held only once every three years, was considered a great art gathering. It also provided an opportunity for all of the participating university students in the Beijing area to showcase their high level of competitive ability. As an important part of the national performance, the show attracted nearly 500 excellent programs which had been selected and sent by 94 Beijing colleges and universities, and nearly ten thousand college students were involved in the event. All of the schools showed great strength and demonstrated consistently high levels of artistic abilities in their respective performances.
