On the afternoon of December 13th, in the Library V.I.P. Room, Xueyuan Lu Campus, CUPL held an appointment ceremony for Mr. Liao Hong, president of People’s Daily Online (PDO). Mr. Liao was formally engaged as a part-time professor for CUPL's School of Journalism and Communication. President Huang Jin gave him a CUPL appointment letter during the meeting.
As a new media outlet, PDO has great influence in Mainland China. For CUPL, it will play an important role in cultivating practical talents and improving academic level. Mr. Liao indicated that, as a leader in mass media, PDO would like to make more contributions to CUPL, such as acting as an excellent internship base for our students. He also invited elite CUPL graduates to take up occupations in PDO.
