On the morning of November 26, 2012, at the Xueyuan Lu Campus, Vice President Zhu Yong met with Professor Guy Lefevbre, Dean University of Montreal (UdeM) Law School, CUPL’s Canadian strategic partner.
When talking about the schools' ten years of bilateral exchanges, Zhu Yong expressed the idea that the cooperative pattern between the two universities has became the model for Sino-Canadian higher education exchanges. He hoped, in the future, CUPL would have more international strategic partners like UdeM. Lefevbre thanked Zhu Yong for his special reception, and said he took CUPL to be his second homestead. He expressed the hope that this visit would lead to further cooperation in new areas and programs.
Later that afternoon, Lefevbre and the CUPL School of Foreign Languages held in-depth talks and reached a consensus on certain matters, such as CUPL dispatching its postgraduate students majoring in French to UdeM for exchange.
Another mission of Lefevbre’s visit was to hold an audition with CUPL applicants for the 2013 UdeM LLM scholarship program. Up to 50 postgraduate students and undergraduate seniors from our university participated in the oral quiz.
