On the afternoon of November 14, 2012, CUPL held the appointment and welcome ceremony for Prof. Eugene Clark at the Xueyuan Lu Campus. Eugene Clark is the first foreign expert of CUPL being admitted into the Recruitment Program for Foreign Experts. The ceremony was presided over by Gao Xiang, dean of CUPL College of Comparative Law Studies.
President Huang Jin, on behalf of CUPL, extended welcome to Prof. Eugene Clark for joining in CUPL through that National Program, and officially awarded him CUPL appointment letter.
Prof. Eugene Clark expressed that it is his honor to become the first CUPL foreign expert admitted into the Recruitment Program for Foreign Experts. He said that, for the purposes of promoting China’s economy, society and culture, by implementing the Program, Chinese government manifested its foresight and wisdom to attract global talents. He expressed that, as a member of CUPL, he has conducted researches on electronic commerce law, the law on Internet and other areas, and would do his best to collaborate with other faculty members to promote CUPL’s presence and academic influence internationally.
