The opening ceremony for Exeter University’s fourth summer program at CUPL was held on June 20, 2012 at CUPL’s Xueyuan Lu Campus. CUPL Vice President Zhu Yong attended the ceremony and gave a speech.
The Summer School Program was established in 2009. 22 students and teachers from Exeter University will attend the program this year. They will study various topics including contemporary Chinese law, China’s political system, and Chinese history and culture. The program will also expose students to Chinese Gongfu and tea ceremony traditions. What’s more, they will visit a local court and residential area, as well as various non-governmental organizations, religious sites and law firms. Through these activities, they are expected to enrich their understanding of the status of China’s current development. Acting as the schoolmates of the exchange students, nine CUPL students will also attend the program.
