On May 26-27, 2012, the fifth annual “BFSU-Wan Hui Da” Cup Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition was held at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). After two days of intense competition, the CUPL team was awarded second place and was recognized for Best Memorandum. CUPL participant Zhou Yarui was awarded The Best Oralist and classmate Li Sijia was awarded The Outstanding Oralist. This year represents CUPL’s best results in this moot court competition.
The “BFSU-Wan Hui Da” Cup Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition is an international intellectual property moot court competition (conducted in English), organized by the Supreme People’s Court, the State Intellectual Property Office, and Beijing Foreign Studies University. In this year’s competition, 13 delegations from Asia, North America and Oceania participated. Competition judges included China Supreme Court judges, professors from Chinese universities, law firm senior partners, representatives from intellectual property agencies, and professors from U.S. and Japanese universities.
