On the afternoon of April 21, 2012, the “Forum on Legislation Concerning International Immunity” was held in Beijing. The forum was organized by CUPL’s Public International Law Research Institute and the Private International Law Research Institute of the School of International Law. During the conference, CUPL Professors Du Xinli, Li Juqian, Guo Hongyan, Zeng Tao, and others delivered speeches on the following themes: the immunity issues concerning the case of Democratic Republic of the Congo, the state of affairs of the Conventions and China’s choice of stance, international immunity and the protection of individual rights; and, legislations regarding international immunity.
