On April 7, 2012, the “Maritime Law Forum Concerning Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao”, co-sponsored by the CUPL’s International Law School and the Maritime Law Research Center, was held in Beijing. Over one hundred scholars, officials, and lawyers from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao attended.
The Forum extended a special invitation to Supreme Court Justice Wang Shumei. She is the chief justice of the Fourth Civil Trial Division of the Supreme People’s Court. She delivered a report titled, “Recent Judicial Interpretations and Emerging Topics and Themes of the Supreme People’s Court.”
