Dear CUPLers,
May 16, 2022 will mark the 70th anniversary of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). Over the past 70 years, our alma mater has been committed to educating outstanding talents. Under the lush Mount Jundu and by the beautiful Xiaoyue River, generations of CUPLers have been diligent in pursuing knowledge. CUPL has provided a caring environment for the young and guided us in making our dreams come true. On its small campuses, dedicated teachers and promising young students embrace the world with tenacity, compassion and grand vision. Dear alumni, wherever you are, CUPL is our eternal bond.
In recent years, CUPL has chartered a glorious course with notable progresses and achievements. CUPL successfully completed the major tasks assigned by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and delivered a qualified answer that was "satisfactory to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and recognized by the academic community". CUPL strode forward to be listed as a national “Double First-Class initiative” university. CUPL was also rated as a “A+” law university by the Ministry of Education. In the 2021 Shanghai Ranking-Best Chinese Subject Ranking, its law disciple continued to rank the first in China for the second consecutive year. CUPL participated in the legislative work of almost all important national laws. CUPL actively engages in international communication and has established collaborative relations with 283 distinguished universities, institutions and international organizations in 54 countries and regions.
Over the past 70 years, faculty and students of CUPL have been dedicated to building our shared home a better place. At this critical juncture as CUPL has fully implemented its 14th Five-Year Plan and is striving for more achievements under the “Double First-tier Initiative” and building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics, let us, all CUPLers, join hands and make our contribution.
As a Chinese saying goes, “when one drinks water, he must not forget where it comes from.” The progresses we had made in our life course are not only the results of our hard work, but also the results of the cultivation of our alma mater. On the occasion of 70th birthday of CUPL, we call on all CUPLers to make a gift and send your blessings.
