On March 18, the inaugural seminar on the cultivation of Juris Doctor (J.D.) degrees was convened at the Haidian Campus of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The seminar featured in-depth discussions focusing on “High-Quality Development of Juris Doctor (J.D) Education and the Cultivation of Legal Talent with Chinese Characteristics” along with other key topics.

Distinguished attendees included Mr. Hu Weilie, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice, and Vice Chair of the National Steering Committee of Graduate Education for Legal Degrees; Mr. Hu Yunteng, former Deputy Ministerial Full-time Member of the Judicial Committee of the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China, Grand Justice of the Second Rank, and President of the Case Law Studies Institute of China Law Society; Mr. Jiang Zeting, Secretary of the CPC CUPL Committee; and Mr. Ma Huaide, President of CUPL.

The seminar was also attended by representatives from the National Steering Committee of Graduate Education for Legal Degrees, law schools with Juris Doctor (J.D.) programs, legal practitioners, as well as CUPL faculty and student representatives.

At the seminar, Secretary Jiang Zeting and President Ma Huaide jointly unveiled the plaque for the School of Juridical Science at China University of Political Science and Law.
