Dr Qingbao Song, the longest serving Chinese administrator at the Confucius Institute (CI) at the Cave Hill Campus, has been with the CI since it started in 2015. He is one of the individuals who was pivotal to the early development of the CI, and he is returning to China, happy that the institution is playing a vital role in bridging the gap between Bridgetown and Beijing. During his time, the CI won the prestigious global CI of the Year Award in 2017.
