Chinese Martial Arts Displayed at the “Chinese Culture Week” in Romania

On the evening of October 25, 2017, the Chinese Martial Arts troupe of Hanban (the Office of Chinese Language Council International) successfully staged a performance of Chinese martial arts at the Hall of the University of Bucharest (UB) in Romania. The wonderful show was performed by students from the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports(CUPES).

Coincidentally, the martial arts show was held during the "Chinese Culture Week" at UB. It attracted many Romanian people who enjoyed the Chinese culture and martial arts. Mircea Dumitru, President of UB, Alina Criistovici, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Mr. Deng Liming, Head of the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Romania, Prof. Luminita Balan, Romanian Co-Director of the CI at UB, Prof. Dong Jingbo, Chinese Co-Director of the CI at UB, and Prof. Wang Gaohua, Dean of the School of International Education of CUPES attended the event.

This martial arts performance organized by the CI at UB brought Romanian people closer to the unique charm of Chinese martial arts, as well as the extensive and profound Chinese culture.
