The first Youth Chinese Test (YCT) in Romania will be held in the Confucius Institute at University of Bucharest (CI at UB) on this April 4. YCT is an international standardized Chinese test aiming at assessing the ability of primary and secondary school students whose native tongue are not Chinese to use that language in both study and daily life.
For the purpose of attracting more Romanian youth to learn Chinese, as well as to polish up their Chinese, on February 14,2015, CI at UB launched the first and the only free YCT Tutorial Class in Romania after intensified preparations.
As soon as that news was released, it had a constant eye-catching effect on many Chinese-learning students and their parents. In order to provide the students with a better orientation of the test and help them to prepare for it more thoroughly, CI at UB especially organized a YCT Tutorial Class on every Saturday before the said exam. During the first session, the classroom was fully packed.
After class, all the attendees expressed the same feeling that it is of great assistance in the preparation for the upcoming test and the improvement of the examinees’ Chinese, hoping that it could be organized continually in the future.
