Published:2021-03-14

In early 2021, Dr. Yu Meng from CUPL was invited to offer an online elective course "Overview of China's Legal System and Judicial Institutions" for the Faculty of Law of the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill Campus. The course is the first Chinese law course opened by CUPL in the Caribbean, and is also the first time CUPL-offered Chinese law course for a foreign partner university via the Confucius Institute platform. The course was warmly welcomed by the students in the Caribbean. The enrollment quota for 25 students was quickly filled once the course notice was released. The students enrolled in the course showed a strong interest in Chinese law and they actively interacted with Dr. Yu in the online class. The course lasts for 12 weeks, with three classes per week.
